If I cannot get ethanol free gasoline, I get to rebuild carbs on 4 lawnmowers, weed trimmer, 3 chainsaws, hedge trimmer, every 2 years.
Yes, I have a large lot.
Plus my old 1966 Plymouth Satellite.
It is a real problem for those of us with pre-fuel injected vehicles and yes small engines.
Our hope is that everyone will sign the Petition and of course Government will respond in the positive.
I have owned for many years a 1956 Dodge Coronet with 270 engine and a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS with 383 engine. I am totally opposed to having any Ethanol in my gasoline.

Signing the petition is important, it shows solidarity of the car enthusiasts.
If we cannot get ethanol free gas for our collector cars and lawnmowers , weed eaters, chainsaws, etc. the government should supply the carburetor, or kits to repair/ replace as required .
I think more research needs to be done to verify the validity of reducing emissions by introducing ethanol into gasoline. From what I can tell though the little research I have done, the main reason for adding ethanol to gasoline is to reduce CO2 emissions by 4% for every 10% ethanol added. This is based on the amount of volume burned. A litre of E10 will produce 4% less CO2 than a litre of gasoline when burned in an internal combustion engine. Here’s the kicker. Gasoline has a stoic ratio of 14.7:1. E10 has a stoic ratio of 14.1:1. Modern fuel injected vehicles will detect the ratio of ethanol in the fuel and adjust the AFR accordingly. This results in a 4% reduction in fuel economy which translates 4% more fuel being burned. On a carbureted vehicle you will need to jet up the carb 4% to make it run properly. If no AFR change is made, the loss of power will make you push down on the pedal more to make the vehicle move. Simply put, If you are seeing a loss in fuel economy when filling up with E10, then you are burning more fuel. This would make the whole exercise of diluting fuel with ethanol futile at best if not more expensive to produce.
